Why Green Hop Matters in Kent
For centuries, hop farming has been an integral part of Kent’s landscape and culture, with oast houses, harvest fairs, and the yearly hop-picking season all forming part of local history.
Green-hop beers are brewed within hours of the hops being picked, so they capture flavours you just can’t get once the hops are dried. Every pint is a celebration of Kentish agriculture: fresh-cut grass, hedgerow herbs, and a burst autumn sunshine.
Our green hop beer of the year, Input the Output, celebrates this tradition, which goes back generations and is still proudly grown just a few miles down the road. Come try a truly local beer, grown in Kent, brewed in Tunbridge Wells.
Last year, our green hop beer, Knut, was crowned green hop beer of the festival at the 2024 Spa Valley Real Ale & Cider Festival. We’ll be there again this year with Input the Output, so if you’re going, make sure to stop by and say hello!
